Audit Senior Manager
Job Description
- Client Engagement Management:
- Oversee multiple external audit engagements, ensuring they are executed in accordance with auditing standards “ISA” and firm policies.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, addressing concerns and managing client expectations.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients by understanding their business and industry.
- Identify opportunities to provide additional services and add value to clients.
- Team Leadership:
- Lead and manage audit teams, providing guidance, coaching, and mentorship to team members.
- Foster a collaborative and high-performance audit team.
- Quality Assurance:
- Ensure the quality and accuracy of audit workpapers, financial statements, and related deliverables.
- Review and approve audit reports and other client deliverables.
- Risk Assessment and Planning:
- Conduct risk assessments for assigned clients and develop audit plans based on identified risks.
- Ensure efficient resource allocation and staffing for audit engagements.
- Technical Expertise:
- Have experience audit a group of Listed Companies or handle any Initial Offerings, Due diligence, corporate exercise and etc engagement is an added advantage.
- Provide technical guidance to audit teams on complex accounting and auditing issues.
- Regulatory Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with professional standards, regulations, and ethical guidelines.
- Oversee the resolution of regulatory and compliance issues.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A professional certification such as ACCA, CPA is typically required.
- Membership of MIA is an added advantage.
- Minimum 5 to 8 years of related experience in a reputable accounting firm for Senior positions and above.
- In-depth knowledge of accounting (MPERS, MFRS and IFRS) and auditing standards (ISA), regulations, and industry best practices.
- Travel to different states within and outside Malaysia for audit engagements.
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple engagements and deadlines.
- Client-focused with a commitment to delivering exceptional client service.
